How To Clean Baby’s Stuff While Travelling :)
My family and I recently went to Cebu for a business trip. Well, actually, it was just The Hubby who had work there and he just brought me and Asher with him. We stayed in Quest Hotel for five days and then went to Crimson Hotel in Mactan for the weekend.
A lot of people have been asking me to blog about my Cebu trip. Basically, they want tips on how to travel with a baby. I actually read a lot of stuff online before our trip which helped a lot but what I did not see online is how to clean your baby’s stuff without having to bring everything you have at home. Hello? Nobody wants to pay those excess baggage fees!
So here goes… Since I breastfeed Asher, I did not have to bring any bottles, etc to Cebu. I only had to bring a sippy cup, bowl some spoons, and manual food processor since he eats solids now. I also brought along a small sample of a baby bottle/dish soap I got at a baby event last month.
I used what was in the hotel’s bathroom to clean his stuff: A clean toothbrush, cotton swabs/buds,a clean glass and clean hand towels.
This is the small sample of Nature to Nurture’s Baby Bottle & Dish Wash I got from Mommy Mundo’s Bazaar last month. The bottle is so small and handy which is why I decided to bring this to Cebu. I also like the scent. It is also really effective: mild but cleans thoroughly.
Okay, this is step one: Pour some of the bottle/dish wash into some water. You usually have to use a drop or two.
Step Two: Using the clean toothbrush, mix the dish/bottle wash and water.
Step Three: You can now start cleaning your baby’s stuff with the toothbrush. You can also use a cotton swab/bud for hard to reach parts of your baby’s stuff (like sippy cup lids and small toys).
Step Four: You can dry all your baby’s stuff with the clean hand towel or air dry somewhere in the bathroom or in the hotel room. Make sure the surface is clean as well. You can use another clean towel and put it under your baby’s stuff.
Hope this helps you guys out the next time you travel so you won’t have to bring so much!
